Micropellet Technology |
||
Typical micropellet systems are simply standard Gala underwater pelletizing systems with special die plates and dryer screens. A Gala underwater pelletizing system can be retrofitted in the field with components to produce micropellets. Gala micropellets are commonly used for various applications, including production of color concentrate, masterbatch, agricultural applications and rotational molding. Over the past twenty years, Gala has revised the definition of the micropellet produced with our underwater pelletizer. A typical micropellet has a diameter of 1.3 mm (0.050 inch) or smaller. Polystyrene, polyethylene, and flexible PVC are just a few of the many polymers seen in field applications. Over the years, Gala’s equipment has been revised to adapt easily to micropellet production applications to meet market demands. |
