The EDGE™ System

The EDGE is simple and compact, engineered to include the fundamental operational and safety concepts of Gala’s more complex underwater pelletizing systems.

The EDGE includes a fully functional PLC based control system with touch screen interface, an SLC pelletizer, and a skid mounted Tempered Water System with Dryer.

The EDGE is used for pellet rates up to 1.000 kg/h.

The EDGE is supplied for 60 Hz, 460 volts. Customer will supply a transformer if necessary.

Fully functional Siemens based PLC control with rugged touch screen interface, descriptive graphics, and auto-start/auto-stop convenience.

The SLC (Spring Loaded Cutter) Pelletizer features an energy efficient 4.0 kW electric motor, rugged steel construction, economical sealing, custom designed electrically heated die plate, and safety interlock. A simple mechanical clamp adds the convenience of quick and easy attachment to the cutting chamber. The SLC pelletizer operates at low noise levels and needs no operator attendance once started, enhancing the overall safety and labor efficiency of the system.
The tempered water system with Easy Access Dryer is compact and mounted on a single skid. The system features high quality polyurethane finish and robust stainless steel or bronze alloy process contacting components. The closed loop system permits simple compliance with today’s typical environmental regulations.

The EDGE Underwater Pelletizing System is compact, robust, economically attractive, and designed for a simple installation. It features the typical rugged construction you expect from GALA and includes state-of-the-art safety features.

The EDGE package includes well-documented operator instructions for easy installation, operation and maintenance, spare parts availability 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, and excellent technical assistance—a feature for which Gala is well-known.
